Wow, what a good book and what a good plot! "Flames of Secrecy," written by Wayne M. Miller, is by far one of the best crime stories I have ever read. I loved it! It is impressive how every detail, every word, and every enigma awaken in the reader a desire to keep reading to find out what is going to happen next and to decipher the mysteries posed by the author. The story takes unimaginable turns, and the text is absolutely descriptive. If you enjoy literature full of drama, suspense, and adventure, you cannot miss this wonderful, intriguing, and mysterious tale. It is too good!

Flames of Secrecy by Wayne M. Miller is a gripping and dark psychological thriller that takes you on a wild ride through a maze of twisted secrets and dangerous obsessions. From the very first page, I was hooked.
What I enjoyed most was the authentic portrayal of investigative work, likely drawn from the author's background as a former arson investigator. The detailed descriptions of arson scenes, the complexity of the investigation, and the vivid Boston setting felt incredibly real.
The tension never lets up, and the plot twists are genuinely surprising. It’s a story filled with psychological depth, high stakes, and well-drawn characters.

Brantley is an investigator with deep-seated issues from his childhood, particularly when it comes to his dealings with women. He’s about to become even more unstable, though, as secrets from his family’s past refuse to stay buried. Meanwhile, Mark Miller, a capable but troubled ATF agent, is working with the Boston Police and Fire departments to capture a serial arsonist. These two men, though they don’t know it, are on a collision course.
Now, these two have to battle both the secrets in their pasts and the turbulence that is taking part in the present day. They must unwind the threads that bind them, because if they don’t, they will never be free of the dark cloud of doubt and despair that seems to have enveloped both of them.
